31 Days of Great Civic Ideas

A civic prompt for each day of the October festival month.

Architectural civic blocks

Through October 2020 the festival desk posted one civic idea a day: a street fix, a data habit, a partnership pattern, or a question a ward committee could actually use. The series sat beside the webinars so people who could not join a live room still had a daily way into Empowering the Civic.

Ideas ranged from opening a municipal dataset in plain language, to treating a taxi rank as a public room, to asking who is missing from a safety walkabout. None of them claimed to be a national programme. They were small enough to try and specific enough to argue with.

This page keeps the gallery slot that the original menu promised. The full session recordings live on Past Events. If you are building a later civic calendar, the 31-day rhythm is still a useful scaffold: one public prompt, one host, one place to write what happened.
